She's "Cured" from Type 1 Diabetes

Katie Beth Hand, patient 9 in the Eledon trial, received an islet cell transplant in January 2026. She is now living a "functionally cured" life, but every 21 days she requires a transfusion of an immunosuppressant called Tegoprubart which stops her body from attacking the newly implanted islet cells.
